Currently Lovin': WTF Minimalism
The WTF series are SO CUTE you guys, they have a sarcasm about them that I love. Quite frankly I'd be pretty happy with one of these in my living room!
Graphics were designed by Buenos Aires-based creative studio Minga who specialise in Creative Direction, Design & Art Direction.
Cute, are they not???
If you love them too and wish to buy, you can buy them here.

BiroRobot is an illustration and print making studio producing limited edition hand pulled prints and professionally printed giclees.
It grew organically out of ManOrMouse?'s album The learning Curve. Having designed and hand gocco printed all 400 limited edition album covers, they then produced a couple of prints from the artwork. The prints proved to be really popular... Now we all have access to the love...

Artsy Vs. Vintage
I think I know which one will win ;)
So tell me.... what would you do with that empty wall?
1.- Cover it with Vintage treasures, antique pictures and flea-market finds?
2.- Bring out your artistic-self?

After much careful consideration I surprised myself by deciding I'd go for the Artsy wall!!!

Teeny & cool!
Hey ya'll! I was not around yesterday because it was a Mexican holiday (we're good at those) well, the actual holiday is on friday but what they do is they move it to monday so that everybody can take long weekends... gotta love'em!
Anyway... I have been looking for some inspiration on rooms for teens, I have a reader /friend that told me she is thinking about renovating her daughter's room now that she is 12 and turning into a young woman.
The girl has a very cute bohemian style so I thought something like this would be perfect... it works with shades of pink, orange, lavander and white. My advise: use vintage fabrics and flea-market finds!

For a young man we need to use clean lines and well-defined shapes... color schemes that work for boys: grey, white, black, red, blue, beige and brown. My advise: keep it classy and simple

If your girl is not so much on the boho, dreamy side, and more into fashion trends, you definitely can't go wrong with wall stencils and bold colors. This room below works because the color of the wall goes all the way to the ceiling and creates a wonderful focal point for the bedding and the wall-art. The color combinations that work perfectly with this style: pink-black-white, green-chocolate, aqua-yellow-white, yellow-grey-black, aqua-pink-white... My advise: find bedding with personality and really good lighting. Make sure the room gets plenty of light and fresh air.

Wallpaper... of the future?
Well... I have posted about wallpaper before, and a lot, because I love it. But this post is definitely takin' it to a whole new level! See, Australian diverse Multimedia and body artist Emma Hack is my new favorite person, how gorgeous is this?
During Emma’s 20-year career, she has evolved into a diverse multimedia and photographic artist of world acclaim. Emma has painted some of Australia’s well-known bodies in past projects, including Antonia Kidman, Imogen Bailey, Rachael Beck, Todd McKenney, Geoff Jansz and Laura Csortan.
Emma’s Wallpaper 2005, 2007 and 2008 collections feature Florence Broadhurst wallpaper designs mixed with her body illustration. Shecontinues to work blending her ‘wallflowers’ with the beautiful designs of Broadhurst.Emma says...
‘I love working with the beautiful and aesthetically pleasing designs of the late Florence Broadhurst, they allow for a lovely energy and character combined with the human form. I hope to continue this relationship with Signature Prints’.

The Wall
Wishing I had some free time in my hands, I write this post with a great deal of nostalgy....... ok, I'd better cut the drama.... seriously, I wish I had some time to try one of these FABULOUS projects!!! some good-quality paint, brushes and sponges and voilá!!! you've got one interesting wall... inspiration below....
I am in Mexico City still and really enjoying this cool weather before going back to the humidity and the heat (back to baking that is)... but anyway, next time you hear from me I will be back in Paradise :)
You HAVE-GOT to LOVE the effect paint has on these walls below, of course you might need some practice, practice on a piece of paper and look for the right shades and intensity for what you are trying to get... dont go attacking your poor walls at once!

Zen Keys...
Some of us can't resist asian influences... I am addicted to Feng Shui decor and also about pretty much anything that can create a Zen feeling in my home. The other night, while doing some on-line research, I came across these fabulous images that show how to create the Perfect Zen Place, the pretty clear Asian elements have been enhanced by the use of bold colors, but always keeping it simple.

I am crazy about this wooden tub top! not to mention the lovely Kimono!

In this case, the wall art, will have a much better, softer effect if you paint it, rather than using wall vynil. Make sure you keep the color palette simple and fresh

Artistic Side
Inspiration comes when you least expect it... yesterday, I was looking at this really neat tree outside the office and I thought 'humm, wouldnt it be nice to be talented enough to paint a tree like that in my house somewhere?'.... and then, I find this! The true value of this picture lies in the fact that it shows something like this could actually be quite easy to accomplish. Sponges and different shades of green will do. This spring, go green! and what a beautiful, stylish way to do it!

Wonderfully Chic...
This would be my dream bedroom (or at least one of them!!) I soooo want this lamp and the art above the headboard and I can not begin to tell you how crazy I am about splashes of red in a black and white room. Enjoy...

Chocolate Love...

I am crazy about chocolate, well who isnt??? but now I couldnt resist the temptation and went ahead and painted my tallest wall and my headboard wall with this rich, dramatic color. I do love the result!! Everything you put on them will stand out, I went for a cute little pattern using gold paint in both walls and incorporated wall-words in the bedroom... To tell the truth, sometimes I wish I could write something on everywall as I am obsessed with wall words BUT, I do know that the "grand gift of the artist lies in the knowledge of when to stop"...
