A New York style Loft

I love anything New York and I love Lofts. Well, this place is BOTH but get this: it's in Vienna, Austria and it has a design inspired by the classical New York lofts.

Owned by a family of four, you will notice that the space is not divided into rooms but rather into some sort of boxes. There are three such volumes and they each fulfill a different function. The loft covers a total area of 260 square meters and inside there are separate zones with different levels of privacy

One of the volumes includes the children’s rooms. These spaces are acoustically separated by the rest of the loft with floor-to-ceiling acoustic glass elements {ok. this is BRILLIANT}.

The parent’s bedroom is another area and it’s separated from the living area with large sliding doors. These two volumes are the privacy spaces of the loft.

It’s visible that the loft still features some of the industrial character of the building but it has been personalized with individual furniture pieces and a simple but very stylish interior design.

One word: OBSESSED.

Awesomeness!

This is a crazy cool modern California loft. And guys, I am  in love. What a charming and perfect place!!

A poorly planned, 1,100 sq. ft. loft in the historic Besler Building - a former steam-engine factory in Emeryville, California - was transformed into an efficient, livable and beautiful modern loft. It was two years in the making, with their home transformed into a gritty construction site on weekends, but homeowners and designers Lynda and Peter Benoit, (Peter a senior architect with local firm Melander Architects) took the loft from dark and dingy to open and sun soaked, with a 16 by 17 by 10 ft. box at its heart housing a private bedroom within its wooden walls.

GENIUS!

Today's Brittish Place

Oh have I neglected my beloved interiors from across the pond!!! but here I am to redeem myself!

The Trafalgar apartment in London has a very crisp, clean style. What I like about it is that incorporates great vintage elements that make the space feel mature, grown up and with history.

U like?

Loves the aged floors, the white brick walls...........

Lofty expectations...

Oh myfriends... where to begin, I hope you are sitting down, because this space is simply amazing.

How about living in a former shipbulder's warehouse, built in 1839 in New York City, now turned into a fabulous new Loft... well, that's were Rebecca Robertson, Marco Pasanella and their adorable 3 year old son Luca live. Talk about some major lifestyle crush!

Seems to me that, being a designing couple, they had no trouble turning an industrial loft into a family home. But it would surely be a challenge to all the rest of us mortals!!!

Just look...

What makes a perfect play area???? A winch!!! This one is at the front of the loft, which once delivered sailcloth and other supplies to shipbuilders... definitely a striking design element!!!

Rebecca in front of the fireplace

The rug is by British designer Neisha Crosland, and the FABULOUS slipper chairs are antiques

Bright WHITE pine floors and brick walls to add contrast and brighten a space flanked by wooden columns??? YES please!!!

A kitchen with a rolling ladder!!! GENIUS!!!!

Do you love it too!!???
