Seriously amazing small kitchens
After a lovely relaxing weekend............. {here I am in the office wishing I could go back to that lounge chair} what's with mondays right?
Anyway, now is the turn of some tiny kitchens, lets face it. Most of us actually have small kitchens, especially if you live in a big city in an apartment.
And if you're renting, things complicate even more... Rental decorating can seem like mission impossible but it's actually not, these small places are fabulous, not a drop of bad style. Ch-ch-check 'em.

1.- Big City apartment - take advantage of light/views and bright whites to make it seem bigger. Oh, and keep it simple for Christ's sake! no space for clutter and stuff.
2.- Cute & functional country style. I love small islands like that, that you can move around if you need more space, they are so helpful and provide a ton of extra much needed counter space.
3.- Use every square inch!! don't be afraid to use all the space you've got. ALL of it. See here, they even have extra chairs folded and hung by the fridge!!! Light wood is a YES in small spaces.
4.- Use interesting textures and good lighting and no-one will notice the lack of space. Glossy subway tiles, exposed brick, deep rich wood and leather will always translate into a sophisticated space. {love the shelves}
5.- Minimal Dream.... many of us love simplicity, after all, they say simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication... Storage solutions in this tiny space are so genius, they provide all the counter space you will need to cook a serious meal ;)
I loved number 3 and 5. What bout you?

Really small but Really clever
Here are 3 really-really small spaces with a ton of personality.
I honestly was like: SAY WHAT!? Can't believe a place so small can look that good and be so functional at the same time!!!
1: Grown-up and sophisticated
{rich tones and textures and a jazzy, elegant vibe... I wanna touch everything in this room!!}
2.- sunny, cheerful, modern
This is probably not the direction I would take, but I have to admit some of the choices here are genius!!!
{gorge window treatment!}
3.- Finally, we have this awesome living/office area
Which is absolutely fabulous. I love the neutral, organic elements, love the white, the house plant
and the DESK!!! this place is small but looks super-duper comfortable!
Do you have a fave???

Awesomeness!
This is a crazy cool modern California loft. And guys, I am in love. What a charming and perfect place!!
A poorly planned, 1,100 sq. ft. loft in the historic Besler Building - a former steam-engine factory in Emeryville, California - was transformed into an efficient, livable and beautiful modern loft. It was two years in the making, with their home transformed into a gritty construction site on weekends, but homeowners and designers Lynda and Peter Benoit, (Peter a senior architect with local firm Melander Architects) took the loft from dark and dingy to open and sun soaked, with a 16 by 17 by 10 ft. box at its heart housing a private bedroom within its wooden walls.
GENIUS!

Dear Small Apartment...
I am in love.
People, check it out. This is a gem of an apartment, where truly genious choices have been made in order to make the most of every square inch.
For starters, this bult in shelf unit not only serves as backdrop for that cozy sofa but it provides depth, then there is the wicker chair to add texture and organic fabulousness, the rug, wooden table and stools follow suit.
Kitchen and Dining are right there too, everything tied together by the fabulous and paneled 50's looking wood. It all flows and connects in such a natural way.... oh man....
Use all of it! all of the space, get creative. Use a lot of white.
Never underestimate the power of fuzzy rugs (or anything fuzzy) esp in the bedroom. Will cozy-up any bedroom in NO time.
What an adorbz bedroom for the little one, could be boy or girl, it's equally good. And what a terrific way to maximize space. Pretty damn brilliant if you ask me.
what a treat right???

Fabulous Interiors
I am currently dreaming this is what my house will look like in the near future. To me, black, white and grey with a pop of color is perfection.
First of all... I am SO doing this. Chalkboard paint with some frames and words. Sold.
This bathroom is small, yet fabulous. And I know my son will be thrilled if I copy this display of rubber ducks!!!
Bright and Open yet Warm & Cozy. If your living room looks anything like this.... THATS IT.
Ok, I am goona need an adorable collection of mix-matched chairs ... and PRONTO.
BTW rug is to die.
Same room as above.... more perfection.
I CANNOT deal with the gorgeousness of black floors... and the happiness that bring bare windows. And the elevated Bed (room?) + reading space beneath it? ugg can't deal.

Tiny House
Ok. You guys, swooning does not even BEGIN to cover how I feel about this adorable space. I't s a dream. I dig.
This tiny house is located in the coastal mountains of Northern California. It sits in a secluded area, far awayfrom all the traffic from the city. The owners of this house are Diana and Michael Lorence {experiencing MAJOR envy here}
But what it might seem like a normal house is in fact a very unusual home. This 12-foot square house has no electricity or hot water. The only heat source in the house is a fireplace that also serves as a stovetop for cooking. The owners claim that they in fact live a life of luxury.

Fabulousness times 4... Small Kitchens
Hi lovelies!!! I hope your weekend is looking fabulous. I am working today but monday it's a holiday here in Mexico so I will be doin' a whole lotta NOTHIN'!!!!!!! {I am even doing my ridiculous little happy dance because lately, all i do is work!}
Aaaanyway. Today on Fabulousness times Four... Cute and clever solutions for small kitchens that turned out totally fabulous.
Movable island for extra counter space..... wayyyy clever guys.

All that white + splashes of pattern and color
creates a sense of amplitud (is that a word?? not sure.)
Open shelving with stylish objects create a focal point. So does the yellow island (which you can move around as needed)

This industrial stainless steel cart is the perfect island
... and ... check out those shelves for the love of God!

Which is your fave??? Happy weekend darlings!

Small spaces call for big ideas [♥]
Ok, lets face it, most of us don't live in mansions... actually, quite the oposite. So we need to think big and trust our imagination to make the most of the space we've got. I love posting about small spaces and how to decorate them, I think it's amazing what you can do with a little bit of inspiration. So, here are some ideas.....
In the dining room, create a focal point in one of the walls, and make sure you incorporate one really great buffet or storage unit for dishes, napkins, bowls, etc. This one has mirrors and it's perfect with all the metalic accents. Get rid of high cabinets and keep everything waist low. Leave the walls clean except for the one wall that will have all the accents, place a large mirror in the oposite wall. You will be surpirsed at how big the space seems!

This living room seems a lot biger than it is because: everything is neutral, except for the black and the green accents that just add personality. The windows are big and the natural light is a very important element. Notice how the curtains were hung way above the trim and they go all the way to the floor, giving the sensation of very high ceiling. The mirrored coffee table sort of creates an optical illusion, I personally LOVE it.

In this small dining area, they took advantage of the wonderful architecture of this house and the amazing windows (I die for those!!!) and built a window bench that becomes part of the dining arrangement. The wall color seems to become one with the blue sky outside and brightens the place in a really inviting way.

In a small place, specially a little living space, you wanna keep things cozy... here, by the window, they have cleverly created a very cozy nook by hanging that lamp real low, close to the table, then adding a big, round coffee table and the floor pillows... and tons of style!

In this little area where they had to incorporate the dining space into the living room, the window provides the perfect setting. But there are many other reasons why this room rocks: Tall curtains that look like columns, perfect white chairs with chocolate brown frame, loads of neutrals to allow the amazing floor to do its thing... and a few pops of color here and there. I love those vases!

Tiny little spaces I am loving!!!
Hey there hunnies!!! how's your thursday going??? mine is pretty busy today! which is always good... and I am feeling energized thanks to Pilates (yayy!) but I wanted to take some time and post about these gorgeous little spaces I found on Better Homes & Gardens, one of my fave sources!!! Anyway, here they are, these spaces are all small, and they are perfect to show you that you don't need to live in a mansion to have a stylish home.
Some of the most interesting tips are: color palettes, wall art, DIY art, accents, use of mirrors and the use of right size furniture...
Enjoy!
