Rocking Tiles by Lenny! swoon....

The Goccia three dimensional tiles by Lea Ceramiche are actually born out of a collaboration with Kravitz Design - right. As in Lenny Kravitz.

In 2003 Kravitz put together a creative team and set up a design studio. Goccia wall tiles is one of their newest ventures and IT ROCKS! - This stuff is inspired by how light interacts with water ("Goccia" means "drop" in Italian).

I just think Kravitz is one hot piece of A and prettty much anything he does will look HOT. Just sayin'.

Designer Profile: Adelaide Bragg

Australian Interior Design firm Adelaide Bragg and Associates has that kind of delicate, soft touch which makes you almost even feel there was no effort in designing and decorating these rooms. And ultimately that's what you want, you want things to flow naturally, to feel and look effortless.

Founder and Director Adelaide Bragg established the firm in 1989 and while being based in Sydney she has always worked throughout Australia. In 2003 she moved her business to be based in Melbourne following her marriage and since has welcomed the addition of three sons.

aaah... nothing like a family business.

Leaves are EVERYWHERE. I dig these pillows.

 

Speaking of this trend. Do you like the Green Leaf print? I feel I can totally live with it on a pillow, but the wallpaper or curtains, its too much for me.

Designer Profile: Natalie Younger

You know, a friend of a friend {alright, its me} is having a few issues with an ex and it's just starting to get old. Have you had those? where they dont seem to be able to get over things and just move on, and by doing so they sort of get you feeling stuck in the mud too? You see, I am good at moving on, it's my thing but maybe some people need more time to get up and keep walking, I dont know... C'mon. Share some wisdom here {you can post Anonymous}. I figure this is cheaper than therapy...

Alright, enough about me--- you see, there are so many talented people out there it's not funny. Here's a girl with great style and greater wit.

Natalie Younger's work is extremely straight forward and fearlessly chic. Modern, unapologetic and vibrant. I first discovered her via DTI and fell hard for her irreverent style. Not only that but she is a super-duper stylish girl herself and I am having some serious lifestyle envy here...  

Enthusiast of all things luxury, Natalie is passionate about classic design with an ever-evolving perspective. Her interiors are best known for challenging expectations and striking the perfect balance between whimsical and everyday function.

She just completed a home on the shores of Maui, and a restaurant and bar in West Hollywood, CA. The firm is currently at work on re-designing five {yep, 5} retail stores across the islands of Maui, and Oahu, a 4000 sq. ft. full residential remodel and a penthouse in downtown Los Angeles.

Celebrity Homes: Tory Burch's

When something like this comes along, there is not much else to say... Really. What a crazy GORGEOUS house, Tory, wanna be Besties and more importantly, when can I crash???

It's Tory Burch's SouthHampton house via VOGUE.

She Rocks: Designer Carmen Rivero

So delish...............

This is the flat of Designer Carmen Rivero in Madrid,

Talk about a perfect example on How-TO showcase your personal style. When renovating, the only thing that remained is the hydraulic tiling which delineates the spaces and becomes an important decorative element.

It's a dream how all of these objects found their way in and are pulled together to tell a story about the person that lives in it, and it works! the sobriety of two leather armchairs with Oriental cushions, the collection of crystals which coexist with the multicolor sofa.

Such a warm and inviting boho-chic atmosphere, a pleasant combination of textiles, vintage furniture and objects....... treasures. This place is a party of colors and textures!!!

John Robshaw revisited

I keep going back to cutie John Robshaw's website because I dont think there is another textile designer who's work makes my heart skip two beats everytime. There is so much love of Nature in his work, so much respect and freedom.

The Man: Pete Oyler

I am head over heels for Pete Oyler's designs, modern, friendly, useful and all kinds of fabulous!

Look it!!! (and go check out his PAGE imediately, if not sooner)

First up is the all-kinds-of-awesome BACON TABLE.

The Rip + Tatter Kid's chair is Made from 100% recycled cardboard, this chair is sculpted by hammering industrial cardboard.  It's durable and perfectly suited for children 2-5.

I have FALLEN. this man is like a genius or somethin.

A tribute to the classics: The Swan Chair

This time.... One of my favorite chairs of all times: The Swan by Arne Jacobsen. He designed this beauty in 1958 for the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. It's manufactered by Republic of Fritz Hansen.

Along with the swan Jacobsen also developed the Egg chair which is equaly amazing... and further furniture which mostly did not get into mass production, like the Drop. The couch of the swan is still in production and i do love it too, its gorge.

The guy surely was a Genius. As a designer, Jacobsen made prototypes for furniture, textiles, wallpaper, silverware etc. Among his most famous designs are The Ant™, Series 7™, The Egg™ and The Swan™ , and the tableware Cylinda-Line

How about this stunning red chair.... a whole new level of awesomeness if you ask me!

They are most certainly timeless beauties and combine modernist ideals with a most inspiring Nordic love of naturalism.

I love this one and the Barcelona Chair.

Serious lifestyle crush here... Anne Hepfer.... wanna be my new bestie??

You guys, seriously, just take a look at her GORGEOUS home below and all you're gonna hear is the loud and clear sound of your jaw dropping to the floor {mine is still down there}. This 1933 Georgian home, formerly owned by Prime Minister John Turner most certainly gets my BIG FAT stap of approval!

Anne's style has this welcoming, friendly elegance that feels just right.

The fabulous black fireplace and white mantel, so perfectly styled.
Hellooo! mirrored coffee table! I LOVE YOU!

Notice she created TWO separate sitting areas in one living room. So fab.

More mirrors. I need one and PRONTO. Absolutely fabulous!

Sometimes, when I am too excited about a place I just write what I am thinking without making any sense. Forgive me if I have that going on in this post. I just totally die for this place!

The library is adult oriented, exotic and rich. A nice contrast in an all-white house.
That dog sure knows what's best ;)

Mirrors are a constant element used unexpectedly throughout the house for a chic effect.
I adore the patterns used here and the lovely olive shade {so IN this fall}.
