Wallpapered wonder!

I am a HUGE fan of wallpaper... {I am actually a big fan of mixing hard with soft, old with new, vintage with modern... and wallpaper is a great way to do it!!!}
I was checkin' out Jenny's wonderful blog, My little Green Notebook and found these totally awesome kitchens that use wallpaper in the most fabulous way. Let's see which one you like the most :)

Fabulousness times 4... Small Kitchens

Hi lovelies!!! I hope your weekend is looking fabulous. I am working today but monday it's a holiday here in Mexico so I will be doin' a whole lotta NOTHIN'!!!!!!! {I am even doing my ridiculous little happy dance because lately, all i do is work!}
Aaaanyway. Today on Fabulousness times Four... Cute and clever solutions for small kitchens that turned out totally fabulous.

Movable island for extra counter space..... wayyyy clever guys.

All that white + splashes of pattern and color
creates a sense of amplitud (is that a word?? not sure.)

Open shelving with stylish objects create a focal point. So does the yellow island (which you can move around as needed)

This industrial stainless steel cart is the perfect island
... and ... check out those shelves for the love of God!

Which is your fave??? Happy weekend darlings!

The Most Fabulous Eat-In Kitchens

Hey darlings! I know am crazy about kitchens, there are so many posts about kitchens, back-splash, breakfast nooks etc in this blog that I almost feel guilty for this post today. But isn't the kitchen THE heart of the house after all? where the family spends the most time together?

This post is even more special because its about Eat-In kitchens, that area of the house where most of us will eat, do home-work, have coffee with the girlfriends, etc... I simply adore these images below. I hope they inspire you =D

Kitchen Dream...

Hunnies!!! a real treat today =D

Here are two fabulous shots of Southern Living's Kitchen of the Year. It's so gorgeous I die... I am loving the wood color in the state-of-the-art cabinets and how it goes so perfectly with the stainless steel appliances.

The other important elements that make it work for ME are:

1) white counter tops that really, really stand out against the cabinets
2) The grey tile that makes it all flow
3) amazing lighting
4) colorful pottery & plants that add personality

Do you love it too!!???

Okay, here they are, a few VERY clever and unique ideas for backsplash...... so lovely!

Brick tiles.....

Subway tiles in a looooovely shade of blue..... this kitchen is delish!

Old, savaged mirrors for opening up the space and giving it personality!

Mirrored backsplash.... oh so chic!

Brick wall indeed! isn't this a dream? so artsy!

HA! bet you didnt see this one coming, yes, it's chalkboard paint!!! isn't this clever? you can't write the daily menu on it!

Two grrrrreat ideas = )

Hey there! how was your weekend? delightful I hope! did you do anything fun?
Sometimes I need a little inspiration to get my week started with the right foot. These two beautiful ideas for a backsplash did it for me. They both involve tiles, which I love and am seriously considering for my own kitchen.
First off, the rich shade of royal blue below makes me very happy, against white cabinets and walls its like a breath of fresh air!

And this one..... well, its a bit more artistic and a fantastic DIY project I love because it gives the kitchen a whole lot of personality!

What is your backsplash style??? Tomorrow, we will continue with backsplash as I have a great post for ya ;)

Dark + Light = One Fab Kitchen!

Hi dear all!!! I hope you are having a wonderful, happy week!
I am a big fan of the effect of contrast, I think it turns any boring space into a very stylish one... Today I wanted to post about contrasts in the kitchen, the fabulous use of dark and light. I think all of these are amazing, the dark items really stand out and give the place so much personality! don't you think?
Enjoy...

One great idea for a Small Kitchen

Hi dears! I hope you all had a bright, relaxing, lovely weekend... I did, I definitely am ready to get this week started!
My last post, about the much desired (by me) breakfast nook, reminded me of another thing I am crazy to get in my kitchen. A work table/Island... I don't have enough space for a real island though (the kind that has room for appliances and all), my kitchen is not big enough, but I think, the solution will be a table like this one, with some shelving underneath of course!

What a great place to work, don't you think?
And this is my favorite, rescued from a flea market, this table has been painted dark green and white to create a magnificent focal point in this cottage style kitchen. Perfect to display flowers and fresh fruit...
Quite frankly, I could stare at this image all day!!! you like???

Interesting point!

Happy Monday!!! After a much too nice Mother's day weekend with the family, I am feeling happy and ready for this week's challenges!
And what can be better to start the week than some pretty practical examples on how to make your kitchen better by displaying some interesting, everyday items such books, bottles of wine, old mirrors and plants? give your kitchen personality, and turn it into a great living space! after all, most of us spend more time in the kitchen than anywhere else in the house...
