today's brittish place ❤
After my previous post, which is totally useless and has nothing to do with this blog but I thought it would be somethin funny to do ;) [still cracking with that Brendan Fraser look-alike LOLs]
It's time to get down to our business of feeding our Passion for Beautiful Things.
I am totally obsessing with today's brittish place {yeah, again} You see, the Apsley house, is definitely where Holmes and I would live happily ever after... it has areas that are dark, a little gothic, decadent and luxurious and it has areas like the kitchen, the amazing white bathroom and the yard, which have this light and breezy feeling... totally perfect for us.
It's time to get down to our business of feeding our Passion for Beautiful Things.

I cannot stop staring at this gorgeousness... femenine, chic, glamourous and downright fab! I cannot wait turn my guestroom into a walk-in closet and go crazy with the wall paper! in my opinion, pink-black-grey is a winner combo!

Mixing it up!
I am soooo looking forward to this weekend folks. How about you?
I started Pilates classes ten days ago after more than 3 years of no excersise at all and, I tell you... I feel happier than ever with this decision. I was always very athletic and I still can't believe how I ever allowed myself to sit on my butt for so long!!! Anyway, I am proud of being on the right track again and wanted to share it :)
Today I have a few examples on how to mix patterns, I am a huge fan of pattern mix because I believe that, done right, it takes ANY room from blah.... to chic!
Black and white is a hot, HOT trend these days.... but you also need to throw some color accents, magenta, yellow or teal are fantastic.
Animal print is also fabulous but you need to use it wisely and only in certain objects.... in other words, less is more ;)
Chose a fabulous wallpaper to make a strong statement, and look for strong pieces of furniture and accesories, that don't get lost in (eaten by) the wallpaper's desing... see the mirror, and the dresser, and the chair? they are all objects with a ton of personality of their own. The splash of color is extremely important, imagine the image without the pink flowers!

This is Anna Sui's home, and of course... one mighty chic example of pattern use. A bit dark for me but perfect next to the white pillars and bookcases. Trés Chic!

Hi there! on this beautiful morning, I am feeling soooo inspired by these images, with four different ways to dress up your walls. I am a huge fan of wall art, I have posted about ways to enhance and update your walls HERE and HERE. If you missed it, Go check!
The lovely image below, shows how easy it is to turn a totally 'Blah' room, into a WOW! An old Mantel and mirrors were placed against the wall as head-board and I find it amazingly dramatic and gorgeous! The chandelier and vintage lamp add the finishing touches....
This wonderful iron piece, (looks like an old window to me)... truly makes a statement on this wall, what a wonderful way to dress up your walls, this has all the personality in the world! don't you think?
Mantel + Shelves... but look at the interesting arrangement... it has everything but it doesnt look saturated or messy.... it looks so clean and simple. This is because the frames were done all in a similar style, color and shape. It's all been kept simple. I LOVE IT!
PROBLEM: You are renting, you aren't allowed to make any drastic changes = (
SOLUTION! Hang that wallpaper! what a fantastic, chic and inexpensive way to add glamour to your walls... look how good these two combine with the space, resulting in a gorgeous little reading nook.
