Ethereal.....

You see.... I am no Grinch, but I am most certainly not big on weddings... specially the traditional type where everything has to be so perfect you just feel your eyeballs are gonna pop out from their sockets. So the other day I was watching one of them wedding shows (where the brides go crazy and therefore it becomes good TV).... and I got to thinking about the type of weddings I do like........ it's the ethereal, mystical and relaxed kinda wedding.

This is how it looks and its gorgeous because nothing needs to be perfect, in fact, its about just trusting nature and finding beauty in everything and everyone. What a great thought....

Aqua + Gray

I think I am totally losing it now. Remember my existence struggles when I couldnt decide if I should paint the one bedroom wall black? guess what, still undecided. {I am telling you this so you know what to tell people when i am gone and institutionalized}.

OK so my ideas have drifted in yet another flippin' direction... right now my mind is being blown away by the beauty of this combination: Aqua & Gray. I LOVE It! {I am also considering gray + yellow} and of course that black wall is still in my mind.

This twin bedroom to die.

Soothing perfection... a true retreat!

Framed beauty...

Do you love this combination? or nay....?

you can go back and see the post on black walls HERE

Here's the INSANE recipe to the drool-worthy Cheddar Horseradish Burgers
{Brought to you via kitchen genius Ms Stewart}

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Yield: Serves 4
Ingredients: 1 1/2 pounds ground beef chuck (80% lean), 3 to 4 tablespoons bottled white horseradish, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, Coarse salt and ground pepper, Vegetable oil, for grates, 4 slices cheddar cheese (about 1/2 ounce each), 4 English muffins, split horizontally, Desired toppings (leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced onion, sliced pickles, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish)

Directions

1.Heat grill to medium-high. In a medium bowl, place beef, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon coarse salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Mix very gently with a fork to combine, being careful not to overwork meat (which would make burgers dense).

2.Gently form meat into 4 equal-size patties, 4 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. With thumb, make a 1/2-inch-deep indentation in the center of each patty (this helps keep burgers flat during grilling).

3.Moisten a folded paper towel with oil; grasp with tongs and rub over grates. Season burgers with salt and pepper. Grill 4 to 7 minutes per side for medium-rare, placing cheese on second side for last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking.

4.Serve on English muffins (toasted on grill, if you like), with desired toppings.

YUM!!!!

Happy Weekend!

Something's gotta give fabulousness!

One of my favorite movies of all times has also some pretty-darn-fabulous interiors. In Something's gotta give, Diane's character is a famous writer with a house in The Hamptons.

There is a decorating style very particular of The Hamptons though, a friendly elegant beach cottage feel, a lot of whites and neutrals, nautical themes and of course PLENTY of space. This house in the movie sure follows all the rules to be followed and it works.

Ch-ch-check it out!

James Radin, the awesome LA based interior designer is credited at the end of the movie with a "Thanks." - he is Nancy Meyers' ( the writer and director ) personal interior designer.  Beth Rubino, Set Decorator is who has been truly credited with the house's design so Radin's role in the house's design is apparently come in and help the production team make the house look professionally decorated. Because that's how Diane's character would have had it! {Radin also designed the houses in The Holiday!"}

And, Just for fun............
{LOL's}

Is this style something you likey???

xoxooxx
