Browsing the web, as aways, I came across the site of Mary Barber Fray... in the UK. Oh boy! does she have a stunning portfolio!!! She founded her interior design business in 1996, and is renowned for her innate sense of style and space, her passion for colour, and a meticulous eye for detail. She is also well known for her highly professional, structured and disciplined approach.

I particularly like her clever use of neutrals and natural light, her rooms have a friendly elegance that's very inviting...

Gorgeousness at Gumps...

Darlings, how's your day going? mine is pretty lovely so far... been getting some work done and enjoying some of my favorite blogs out there in my short work breaks (we all need those right??)

I have always loved how golden objects enhance a space, give it personallity and also seem to re-fill the place with possitive energy... it is a very good color in Feng Shui, as it is stimulating, but too much of it produces anxiety. So, the best way to go gold, I think, is by adding a few accent items such as these lovely pieces I found at Gumps.com - gorgeous isn't???

I found something else I am sure you will LOVE. Gorgeous and very unique vases and pots and carafes... wow I was overwhelmed by the beauty of these items. Can you believe the amazing shapes?

Swedish Country Interiors

Today I was going through some new blogs I had heard of, and I found this, I am crazy about these images.. it is a little taste of what you can find inside the pages of Swedish Country Interiors.

The images were found at Cote de Texas where you can look at more pics and read about this project, the second for Rhonda Eleish and Edie van Breems, two childhood friends, both of Swedish descent... and the book can be pre-ordered HERE. Enjoy!!!

A Weekend Project...

Are you looking for a fun weekend project to enhance your rooms a little bit (it's actually quite a lot!) re-arrange your bookshelves! oh gosh, there's nothing worse than a messy library and nothing that brings a room back to life faster than some shelf styling, that's for sure! Here are some simple ideas on how to do it... Enjoy your weekend dears!
This lovely library takes over the whole wall, so its important that everything its in its place and makes a statement. Look at how books have been arranged, some vertically, some horizontally, and also, they have added some very pretty ceramic bowls and picture frames. As the background is white, accesories and books should be colorful and fun.

Here, we have not only books, but several little travel treasures the owner surely has been collecting over the years... Items have been carefully arranged so that the space doesn't look cluttered. If you have treasures, show them!

This is one very interesting office library. You see, when you have such a large variety of items, the best thing you can do is unify them by painting the whole wall in one shade of the same color. And another thing, very cleverly done on this one, is the two bright green ceramic bowls that surely make it all even and balanced.

Oh what a great place to read this is..... everything about this little nook whispers peace and quiet to me... Notice how there are very few books, most of which are coffee table books with beautiful covers. In putting this space together, clearly the design came first. The bowls and vases have been carefully chosen to have the same color but very different and interesting shapes. The flowers and fruits, add a little splash of color and life to this area and make it even more attractive to the eye.

This here is my favorite! I love that the shelves all are at different levels and that the books seem to be a little messy, but I bet you that was the plan ; ) The larger nook has been saved for art and treasure display. There is so much personality in this image, I think it's easy to deduct what kind of person lives there. I can't stop looking at it!

From my weekend....... (isn't this paradise for real?)

One lovely saturday afternoon, in the picturesque town of Bucerías, just 20 minutes away from where I live.... What a beautiful day that was! I am just glad I brought my camera! we collected seashells for the pewter tray on our coffee table... we played with the waves, we ate vanilla ice cream we bought from a beach vendor and soaked up the sun and the gorgeousness of those ocean views.... ahhhh......!

SATC Interiors

Well, like every other girl in this planet, I too am a huge fan of Sex and the City. But everytime I watched the show, I couldnt help but notice the fabulous interiors, the faaaabulous style and décor.... I guess it's the least we would expect from such glamourous ladies!!! I know, I know... many people have already blogged about this, but I still really, really wanted to do this.
Ok, first up is Samantha Jones's loft. Modern and Sexy, where of course the most important thing is the bed.... notice the colors in the kitchen, and the art... and the huge mirror!

Now, let us move on to the apartment of Miranda Hobbs, she is a partner in a prestigious NY Law firm, and of course, her apartment needs to be classy, neutral, elegant, and a bit masculine.... her dining table is where she studies her cases so there can't be anything too distracting. I love the lighting in the living room, the dark wood and the black frames, and of course the gorgeous mirror placed over the mantel!

I guess my favorite has got to be Charlotte York's stunning Park Avenue apartment. Who wouldnt love it right??? The lovely neutrals, the fine ceramics, the impeccable taste, the fresh flowers, the dreamy wallpaper! got one word: LOVELY.

And last, but definitely NOT least! our fave New York gal, Carrie Bradshaw's place... this is soooooo the place for a writer, and a chic writer that is, with ample shelving for all the books and files, lovely vintage posters and photographs... not to mention some fabulous pieces of furniture, each with a ton of personality. And her closet... (sigh...) one of the most famous closets ever... gotta have room for all those pairs of shoes don't you think???

I did burn a bit though, (ouch on the shoulders!) anyway, today I found some lovely trays and I'd like to share them with you. I am always obsessed with outdoor entertaining and I am always looking at stuff that can make my outdoor moments more enjoyable (it's too hot here to be inside!!!)
Don't you just love these trays? each and everyone of them has a different personality, life of its own... Very, very cool!
Have a great week!
Ohhhhhh! and check out my friend Claire's posts at Blah to Ta-da! she is back with some great new ideas to recycle. We love you Claire!!!
