You know, while I loved Her Royal Highness Miss Catherine Middleton Duchess of Cambridge's {uff!!........... seriously?} wedding gown, because it really was truly beautifiul... I still sort of expected that, being the modern princess she is, she would wear something a bit more along the lines of............

I agree. Although I was pleasantly surprised with her dress, I personally would never have worn such a dress. Love the Vera Wang!
I completely agree!! I have to admit there was a sense of disappointment when I first saw her dress...I was expecting something similar to her reception dress. Something a little more modern and youthful. But I cannot complain...she looked absolutely stunning!

Well, Nuit, she had to wear something from a British designer...given that, I thought as you do that the dress lacked the drama one would have thought Westminster Abbey & a Royal Wedding needed. Maybe we walked down the aisle as a commoner (albeit with a diamond tiara on her head loaned by the Queen), perhaps she needed a simple statement for herself as she was not trying to out-do Princess Diana. Don't know. But I thought it was ho-hum. Love you!!
you are so right! I was hoping she'd wear something like what pic 2 is - So much more contemporary, yet still beautiful!!
haha, I thought her dress is a bit grandma like, but she is quite beautiful, and she pulled it off well! can't blame her for picking it there was a bunch of guidelines for the dress like it has to have sleeves etc (sleeves alone would SUCK for my wedding dress haha)
i know!!! what's with all those guidelines right??? doesnt really leave much room for creativity there... I did like the way she looked though, she is so beautiful she'd look good in anything!....
you said it. what i loved was she could have been wearing a thrashbag and she STILL would have looked elegant. but yes something a tad bit more modern, even if it was in her bouquet, would have been nice. xo
