Now, let us warm up!

We could all use one or 3 ideas to warm up now that the fall is settling in..... in most places. A lot of times you just need a bit of imagination and something warm and cozy like a throw and candles. Here's some inspiration for your weekend :)

I am crazy in-love with that dog!!! and that velvet couch... (sigh...!)

The Man: Today I am crushing hard on Brad Ford!

I really love looking at Brad Ford's work. It's so honest and straight forward, he is definitely one of my fave. His spaces are truly vibrant and young (and so indeed is Brad himself!)

He established his firm in 1998 with an emphasis on residential spaces. He manages to balance, light, space and color factor into every design, creating a timeless effect. Clean lines and simple but well-crafted furnishings, with an attention to texture are his essentials.

Brad Ford has more than 10 years experience in interior design, (WHAT, did HE start when he was 17?? - please excuse me, there's just something 'bout Brad ;) Anyway, he was featured as one of "10 New Designers to Watch" in both New York Spaces Magazine and in New York Magazine, and was also named one of America’s Top Young Designers by House Beautiful!

Celebrity Homes: Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger is obviously a fashion icon, and most of the time these people have great homes. Today I have a few snapshots of his Connecticut home.

I adore that dining place in the wine cellar. Uh, Tommy? I will gladly agree to attending your next dinner party! OH! and Please check out the last image, it's some decorating by Tommy himself very cleverly using Louis Vuitton trunks.

Gorgeousness in Neutrals...

I am a huge fan of color, I really am, but that's maybe only because I am a mom and my house needs to be child-friendly. However, I do LOVE the neutral look as well and the effect of calm and relaxation it has in me. Kinda like living inside a Spa... I had posted some neutral rooms before, so click HERE, in case you want to look at some lovely white rooms with a twist.
Neutrals also tend to bring sophistication into a space, I highly recommend a neutral palette for a chic, adult, elegant result.
Have a very lovely, happy day!

Lonny my love...

Hello there girls and boys! are you having a fabulous week so far? happy monday to all! Today's post is about Lonny Magazine, you probably have already heard, since its launching was much anticipated by all of us in the design blogging world!
Well, in case you haven't yet heard, the new online decor magazine: Lonny Magazine - is made real by the very creative people that once were part of Domino Mag. The quality of the magazine is breathtaking so do visit! It certainly brings new hopes and inspiration to all of us who were OH SO VERY SAD about Domino's departure....
The beautiful minds behind this most blessed project are: Michelle Adams and Patrick Cline. Congratulations!!!

Design Quote of the Week

I would show my my jobs to my mother, and she would always say the same thing: “That’s nice dear.” And then she would say, “Did you write it?” or “Did you do the drawing?” or “Did you take the pictures?” I’d always answer “no,” then I realized the problem. My answer was then, “I made this happen. It’s called design.”

Anyway, about my post, I am in love with Sarah Jessica Parker's Hamptons place, it is seriously comfortable and chic at the same time, it has a friendly elegance that makes it feel like home. I mean, could you NOT live here?

So relaxed and beachy... Me likey!

Gotta adore this vanity by the bed and the chair!

And is this the coolest kitchen ever? or what?

I am in love with this blue chandelier and the mix of black chairs!

For a Perfect nursery....

Nurseries are always a great place to really let your imagination and your creativity flow... I have posted about nurseries before, but this time, the post is just about a couple of tips to enhance that room and make it sweet and special for the little one......
1.- Use a chandelier in a baby girl's nursery, paint it and decorate it with ribons or cristals.

2.- Canopies are dangerous when above the crib, but you can go ahead and have one attached to the wall and away from the crib.
3.- Wall patern... chose one that is elegant and that can grow with your baby

4.- Baskets, open storage. REALLY necessary to have things at hand!

5.- Pretty those rods up! see how simple it can be?

6.- Built-ins: Use all the space wisely and incorporate a built-in unit that will be the solution for keeping all the toys out of the way!
