A most heart-breaking yet beautifully written piece by my friend... the Errant Aesthete... on the sadness and sorrow a lot of us feel over the ridiculous situation on the Gulf oil spills.

"I feel sickened, sad and witheringly helpless over this hole on the ocean floor that is dumping, relentlessly dumping at record speeds, unfathomable amounts of brackish toxins into the estuaries, wetlands and shores of our homeland".

"There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth. We are all crew."...
Marshall McLuhan, 1964

"Take nothing but pictures.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Kill nothing but time".
Motto of the Baltimore Grotto

Thank you my friend, we all need to realize the situation and protest for all those creatures without a voice.

with love...

Al fresco...♥

Oh man!! I keep dreaming about a perfect backyard... mine is still a mess, haven't gotten around to working on a budget for it and when I look at inspiration images like these, I die.

The {highly anticipated} arrival of spring has this effect on all of us, doesnt it? suddently its all about out-door spaces, "al fresco" dining and entertaining... {major sigh!!...}

Alright, so in my humble opinion, the are two reasons why these scenarios work...

mixin & matchin ;)
Just look at all of these flea market finds below....

and, Perfect shade... and nice green view!

Do you have a gorgeous outdoor space that will make me green with envy??? hehe ;)

Katrine's Easter Wonderland

I have had these images for months, waiting for Easter to approach so I could show them all to you. I have never seen a more beautiful Easter arrangement... or a cooler approach. I heart the shapes, the branches, the table setting, the incorporation of Mother Nature into the scene....

Let's see if you love it as much as I do...

"The easter doesn’t have to be yellow. Why not experiment with a much fresher green theme? The colour heralding the arrival of spring. We have set a table with pure Danish design and the daffodils have been replaced by snowdrops, crocuses, white parrot tulips and cherry branches". Katrine Martensen-Larsen

Artistic Side

Inspiration comes when you least expect it... yesterday, I was looking at this really neat tree outside the office and I thought 'humm, wouldnt it be nice to be talented enough to paint a tree like that in my house somewhere?'.... and then, I find this! The true value of this picture lies in the fact that it shows something like this could actually be quite easy to accomplish. Sponges and different shades of green will do. This spring, go green! and what a beautiful, stylish way to do it!
