A tiny apartment in NYC... with a whole lotta personality!

Hi beauties!!!

Another beautiful apartment courtesy of Martha Stewart... Sarah Humphreys, is an Editor in NYC and obviously was immediately seduced by this quaint one-bedroom apartment in West Village. And we can't blame her, see: An 1830s row house, a courtyard entrance, rosebushes climbing the walls, birds chirping, a fountain gurgling {YES, in NYC!!!}. Now, the place was cramped, and after the renovation it looks like this...

Shelves are such a blessing!

Before, there were beige-yellow walls that didnt help open up the space... the living room was repainted with a cool-toned blue and instantly the walls began to recede.

Now, let's move on to the amazing and obsession-worthy folding table here below... Sara used to have a console {clutter-catcher} but it was replaced with a drop-leaf design, so you add a chair on either side and when the leaves are down the table is not even a foot wide.

Kitchen looks modern, clean... perfect.

The living room is genious, it's really small but they added:
1} an extension to the mantel for a better display
2} Large mirror
3} One sofa and a wicker chair, there's also a bench that is being used as tv table...
4} some serious shelves
5} two coffe tables pressed together so the owner can get rid of one whenever she needs to

are you havin a lovely monday????

PaTiO WorkS

Oh after all I have talked about it, [you are probably thinking "alright already!!"]... I began my patio renovation this week {pictures coming soon} so far it's been all about the dirty work, digging out the dirt to put the concrete in and the floors next {I bought beautiful exterior floors} in a total of 27 square mts and once I finish this part we will work on the plants, the walls and the furniture.

Anywayyyy.... here are four {Fabulousness times four} beautiful Patios I have totally fallen head over heels for, they are all going in different directions it would be hard for me to pick a favorite. Let's see what u think!

Are you lucky enough in life to have a gorgeous tree in the middle of your patio? what a blessing! seriously, this is absolutely stunning for me, you can hang lanterns and decorations and always feel in paradise!

Now, this arrangement is a dreamk, I cannot get over beauty of this arch, surrounded by nature and little lights, the most romantic setting I have seen and I'd be crazy not to try something similar! what do you think??

Zen inspired patio, a soothing oasis where you can forget all your troubles and enjoy the blessigns of mother nature. So beautiful but not so practical in my opinion {cuz i need shade and a place to sit down and have cocktails!... I know that is SO NOT Zen behavior!}

Another oriental/zen version but covered up and much cozier and inviting. Me LIKEY!
{and I will take that Budha PLEASE!}

have a lovely thursday my beautiful friends!!!

There!

Once upon a time....

I had a boyfriend... we were reading/going through the pages of Vogue together. There was a picture of Elizabeth Hurley on the red carpet. Looking the way they ALL look in the read carpet. My boyfriend started saying what a goddess she is.

I told him, she is absolutely beautiful. However, they do spend hours and hours being pampered and prettied up by the best stylists and makeup artists in the world, with the best products, in the best Spa, etc. I said, with that kind of treatment anyone can look that good. I know I can!.

Oh boy, did he laugh at me.... but you see, here's the thing... I am RIGHT!

Penelope Cruz

Nicole Kidman

Kim Kardashian

Katie Holmes

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Alba

Goldie Hawn

Eva Longoria

Ana Kournikova

feel the spring??.... time for Easy Cottage!

"all the way" Cottage style is not my favorite, but I have found this place and totally fallen in love... I think this is perfection. Cottage style made easy. So friendly and with some very elegant features. I love.

I particularly adore the combination of old and new, I strongly believe in fusion, And {yes, yes....} I know I sound like a broken record but to yours truly, the black {dark} accents in a white room full of light are genius!!!

Hello there! Here's part TWO of the Styling delight provided by the awesome Katrine Martensen-Larsen... This is priceless because she styles the same bathroom in four different ways! showing just how we can all renovate our spaces with a little budget and a big imagination. Amen!

Katrine says:

"With a little imagination, new towels, sumptuous bath mats, a stylish shower curtain, colored candles, fresh flowers and last but not least - delicate soaps and creams, you can change the look of your bath significantly for much less. We have used the four seasons as inspiration".

Go to the link below the pictures and be prepared to drool... and tell me, which style do you like best?
