3 Noteworthy Spaces

Mondays are tough, we all know that. Some amazing room porn is definitely what we all need on a monday to brighten our spirits. Riiiight? Check this out.

First of all, a master piece brought to you by Feldman Architecture {photo via Desire to Inspire} and I am like, FLOORED. Is there a more gorgeous kitchen out there? God, there are so many drool-worthy elements here it's not funny. Gotta love that loooong island, I am sure those who cook appreciate it. But there is also the natural light, the stone backsplash, the un-even shelves and the glorious salvaged wood at the front of the counter.

Then, we have this beauty... OH swoon! I am always crazy about a good gallery wall and some mean shades of gray! LOVE how this room is not femenine at all. I could live here no problemo.

I found this and I DIG it.

I painted "always kiss me goodnight" on my headboard, but now I realize I wish I had written something like this instead. Much more possitive and less needy. Just sayin'

It's a Head, but not necessaraly a Board

Yes, we may or may not have to rename this.

After all, more and more troubled human beings preoccupied with the eternal question:

-What to do for a Headboard?- Are now opting for getting creative with paint. And this trend has gotten HUGE.

After all, they say it's ok to bend the rules. So I think i'ts MORE than ok to bend the board.

Here are some designs I found quite innnneresting:

First of all, this is genius. The black accent wall is Hotness right now so you can't go wrong with this. I believe a painted headboard should be just like this one: tall and well defined. The effect is ultra-chic.

Gonna need an adorable cartoonish design for a little girl, something that makes her feel like inside a Dr Seuss episode. Is this too cute or what!

I'd personally go for this next one, well defined single line that is soft but at the same time it makes a strong statement. In my case it's a statement that says "I've got style you *i*ches!"

Here is a similar but more intricate and elaborate design. They've added some texture and part of me likes it and part of me hates it. What say you?

Lastly, you're gonna need a whimsical tree with flowers of birds if you're going for the asian/feng shui vibe. I LOVE this design but dont like the pink background. A warm white would have worked better.

Melancholy

I have posted this room before. But it's my favorite ever.

I'ts comforting... I'd like to be there right now. Embraced by its warmth, and it's melancholy...

welcomed by its coziness.

They say all changes have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

They also say, a break up is like a broken mirror. It is better to leave it broken than hurt yourself to fix it.

That sounds about right.

Color is my drug

I just could not live in an all-white house. I look at those stunning white interiors and sigh.

Truth is, I feel this rush, this excitement and energy when I see color and that's all I need to be happy. With that in mind, I came across this amazingly happy bedroom, where two sets of colorful stripes make their big entrance, a piece of art that is vibrant and chic at the same time and many accent items carefully picked out, there's also a moroccan feel to it and J'ADORE!...... MAJOR sigh.

Poison Ivy

So, the other day while on Living ETC, a heavenly cyber-place where I can spend hours and not a single second wasted... as usual, I found so many pretty rooms I almost had to go breathe into a paper bag, but theeennn......found this. My least favorite room like EVER. I mean, c'mon.. really?????? 

What is your take on this room? Its ok to disagree with me though. Ok not really.

Pretty Please?

Came across these pretty rooms and couldnt help but wonder: is there such thing as TOO pretty?

Needless to say I am not a flower-pattern lover so most of these are definitely too much for me. Quilts are pretty adorbz though. And warm.... And the last photo definitely sings to me, the walpaper is whimsical but not over the top and I would totally put that bed in my bedroom mañana.

Aqua + Gray

I think I am totally losing it now. Remember my existence struggles when I couldnt decide if I should paint the one bedroom wall black? guess what, still undecided. {I am telling you this so you know what to tell people when i am gone and institutionalized}.

OK so my ideas have drifted in yet another flippin' direction... right now my mind is being blown away by the beauty of this combination: Aqua & Gray. I LOVE It! {I am also considering gray + yellow} and of course that black wall is still in my mind.

My New Year's décor resolution...

today's brittish place ❤

Hi loves! First of all.. thank you all for being patient with me since I havent really posted a whole lot this week [ehem!... or nothin' actually] but this little break was much needed, trust me.

Well, unlike ALL previous Brittish Places I've posted before, which were all white and with very few pops of color... today's brittish place is full of energy and color and I dedicate this post to my lovely blogger friend Leah who really uses color in the most beautiful ways.

This style is truly gorgeous, you will see. [and the dress too... I might need that lil piece hanging in my closet asap!]

Boy it's hot here!....

So this is what we do. Drop what we are doing and hit the beach!..... Okay, okay, I can't do that everyday, but that's what we did yesterday, and well deserved for realz! ;)
