3 Noteworthy Spaces

Mondays are tough, we all know that. Some amazing room porn is definitely what we all need on a monday to brighten our spirits. Riiiight? Check this out.

First of all, a master piece brought to you by Feldman Architecture {photo via Desire to Inspire} and I am like, FLOORED. Is there a more gorgeous kitchen out there? God, there are so many drool-worthy elements here it's not funny. Gotta love that loooong island, I am sure those who cook appreciate it. But there is also the natural light, the stone backsplash, the un-even shelves and the glorious salvaged wood at the front of the counter.

Then, we have this beauty... OH swoon! I am always crazy about a good gallery wall and some mean shades of gray! LOVE how this room is not femenine at all. I could live here no problemo.

Melancholy

I have posted this room before. But it's my favorite ever.

I'ts comforting... I'd like to be there right now. Embraced by its warmth, and it's melancholy...

welcomed by its coziness.

They say all changes have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

They also say, a break up is like a broken mirror. It is better to leave it broken than hurt yourself to fix it.

That sounds about right.

Now, let us warm up!

We could all use one or 3 ideas to warm up now that the fall is settling in..... in most places. A lot of times you just need a bit of imagination and something warm and cozy like a throw and candles. Here's some inspiration for your weekend :)

Affordable coziness!

It is really not mandatory to max out your credit card if you want to have a stylish, cozy place. A few elements, interestingly and strategically placed will do. In this extra-cozy bedroom, the most important item is, without a doubt, the window-treatment, it is retro and chic and it also blocks most of the light coming in. The second most important item would be the gray paint on the right hand wall that also combines perfectly with the window treatment. These two elements already make the room darker and provide a little bohemian feel... The fabulous hanging lamp, the books and the amazing art do the rest. Try this style, it's actually quite easy!
