Gorgeousness at Gumps...

Darlings, how's your day going? mine is pretty lovely so far... been getting some work done and enjoying some of my favorite blogs out there in my short work breaks (we all need those right??)

I have always loved how golden objects enhance a space, give it personallity and also seem to re-fill the place with possitive energy... it is a very good color in Feng Shui, as it is stimulating, but too much of it produces anxiety. So, the best way to go gold, I think, is by adding a few accent items such as these lovely pieces I found at Gumps.com - gorgeous isn't???

I found something else I am sure you will LOVE. Gorgeous and very unique vases and pots and carafes... wow I was overwhelmed by the beauty of these items. Can you believe the amazing shapes?

The Golden Ticket

Well??? What did I tell ya, Metallics are soooo in, this is one of the strongest trends for the fall as seen in the shows of Calvin Klein and Derek Lam (images from www.elle.com).
Use metallics on pillows, picture frames, duvet covers and even walls for an exotic-mystic look, remember that according to Feng Shui, this color provides happiness and brightness to your life, just don't over do it...

Little lights... light my way tonight!

Okay, just wanted to take a little break from my blissful do-nothing saturday and bring these GORGEOUS fabric-hanging-lanters I found at www.gardeners.com to your attention. Buy them or make them yourself (if you're one of those hehe) but do find a way to incorporate some glamour into your outdoor area and enjoy!
By the way, metallic colors are sooo IN this season in both fashion and decor and will go straight through the fall!

Yang Colors, here comes the sun!

Well, Yang colors according to Feng Shui tend to be fire and wood elements. Feng Shui believes that these are the colors that provide you the enthusiasm or the positive energy required to do something or be motivated!
Yellow/ Gold color in Feng Shui is considered to be as auspicious as red. Yellow represents sunbeams, warmth, motion, cheerfulness and friendliness. However, according to a noted 'Color Feng Shui' consultant, prolonged exposure to large amounts of intense yellow can cause anxiety! Use it wisely friends ;)
I found these beautiful two elements to enhance a little corner of my living room, near my family photos... it brings me joy and happiness everytime I look at it!
